Fergus (Aust CH Balinfern Fearguis), a multiple in group winner, is from a mating of Aust CH Balinfern Prima Donna (Carla) and Aust CH Balinfern Divine Gift (Angus). He was born on 14 May 2007. Fergus had a tough start to life being one of only two surviving puppies from the litter. His mother Carla only just survived herself from the emergency ceasarean from which Fergus was delivered. Carla could not feed her puppies and so Fergus was bottle fed from day one to until he could be weaned. He therefore has a very special place in our hearts and like all hand raised puppies has a wonderfully open and playful temperament and an immediate bond with us humans.
Fergus attended a very limited number of shows as a baby puppy but received four Baby Puppy in Group awards in late 2007 (Mullumbimby Show Society, Tweed River Agricultural Society, Alstonville Agricultural Society, North Coast A and I Society (Lismore)). At 16months he was awarded RU Best in Group at the Nimbin A and I Society All Breeds Show, and RU Best in Group again at the North Coast National A and I Society Show in Lismore 2 weeks later! Then at 17 months he was awarded Junior In Group at the Murwillumbah Ag Show. He gained the final points for his Aust CH title on 8 May 2009 at the Clarence and District Kennel Club Show being awarded BOB and the next day took out Intermediate in Group at the 2nd day of that show. At the Kyogle and District Kennel Club Show on 13 June 2009 he was awarded Best in Group and Intermediate in Group.
